Version history is available on Pro. Open History in the editor to browse retained versions, preview an earlier design or restore it as a new save.
Which saves are kept
Recent saves are kept individually, along with a minimum number of the newest saves even when you have not edited the production for a while. Older unpinned saves are grouped into editing sessions. Only the final save from each older session is retained; the intermediate saves can be removed.
A change of author or a long pause ends a session. Retention is applied as new saves are recorded, so history is not a permanent list of every intermediate change.
Keep a named snapshot
Pin a retained version as a snapshot and give it a name you will recognize, such as “Before tech week”. Pinned snapshots are kept until you unpin them. They are excluded from normal save compaction. After unpinning, normal retention applies again.
Pin important milestones while they are still in history. A version already removed by retention cannot be recovered by naming a snapshot later.
Restore an earlier design
Preview the retained version you want, then choose Restore this version. Restoring adds a new save at the top of the history. It does not itself remove the versions that came after the one you chose; normal retention continues to apply to unpinned saves.
What happens on Free or with a Production Pass
The same retention rules apply on every plan, and saves are recorded even when history is not available to browse. Pro unlocks the history tools. A Production Pass includes collaboration and paid exports for its production, but does not include version history.
