Every lighting document Setplot exports is generated in your browser from the rig you have plotted, at the moment you download it. There is no separate paperwork to keep up to date: change a channel number and every sheet you export after that carries the new one.
Create a free account to download standard sheets and tables. Drawn sheets carry a small Setplot credit. A Production Pass or Pro includes MVR rig export. You can start drawing without an account, but downloading production exports requires one.
Downloaded files describe the design when they were generated. After changes, export the pack again or send a view-only share link so your team can open the current production.
The sheets, and who wants them

Export one
- Open the production and choose Export from the editor.
- Pick the sheet you want from the Lighting group. If a card is greyed out it says why: a plot needs a bar hung, a patch sheet needs at least one fixture given a dimmer, circuit or address.
- Set the options the sheet offers. The plot and the section take a paper size; the patch sheet takes a patch order, so you can sort it by dimmer, circuit or address depending on which number the person reading it works from.
- Choose a format and download.
Notes worth having
The hookup and the patch sheet are the same rows in a different order. Send the hookup to the person at the console, who thinks in channels, and the patch sheet to the person at the rack, who thinks in dimmers. Anything not patched yet falls to the bottom of the patch sheet in channel order rather than pretending to be at zero.
The magic sheet groups by purpose. It is built from the Purpose written on each fixture, so a rig where every fixture says "wash" produces a sheet nobody can use. Fill in Purpose as you plot rather than the night before the tech.
The plot and the section state their scale in the title block, and the same printing rules apply as for a groundplan: print at 100 percent, never fit to page.
MVR carries the rig, not the drawing. It is for handing the plotted fixtures to a visualiser or a console that can read them, and it is the one export whose reader is a machine rather than a person on a ladder.
